Balancing a full-time job, family life, and this project required late nights, weekends, and even working on vacation. There were many moments of doubt, but encouragement from readers and users of my recipes kept me going.

She wrote to say the cake was a hit, that it tasted excellent, and that she was grateful to have a safe treat to serve on her child’s special day. Stories like that are why I put so much care into this book.
