Milky, crunchy and sweet, this Cornflake Cereal Granola is dangerously addictive. Serve it with Greek yogurt, fresh berries and a glass of milk for a satisfying breakfast that keeps you going.

If you want more variety, try different toppings and uses—granola works great beyond the yogurt bowl.
Granola and milk
I’m a big granola fan and I’m always experimenting with new combos. I also love a simple bowl of cornflakes and milk, so I finally combined those two comforts into one: cereal granola. The mix of crunchy oats, cornflakes, almonds and powdered milk creates a nostalgic, cereal-like flavor with hearty granola texture.
It’s a bright way to start a busy morning or to liven up a dreary day.

Is yogurt and granola a good breakfast?
Yes—yogurt and granola make a delicious, satisfying breakfast. How healthy it is depends on portion size and the ingredients you choose. Making your own granola lets you control sugar and fat. I sweeten mine with honey, coconut sugar or maple syrup and use plain, unsweetened yogurt. Adding fresh fruit increases fiber and helps keep you full longer.
Can I eat granola every day?
You can, provided you watch portions and ingredient choices. Granola is calorie-dense, so eat it mindfully—stop when you feel satisfied. Pairing granola with equal or greater portions of fruit is a good habit; berries work especially well.
How to make granola cereal
This cereal granola is simple to prepare:
- Mix all dry ingredients except the milk powder in a large bowl.
- Dissolve milk powder in water, then combine with the remaining wet ingredients.
- Toss the wet and dry mixtures together and spread the granola evenly on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake until golden brown.

Key baking tips:
- Preheat the oven so it reaches temperature before the granola goes in.
- Spread the mixture in a thin, even layer for consistent crunch.
- Watch closely near the end to avoid overbaking and losing clusters.
Tips for making this recipe
Follow these small adjustments for better results:
- Use unsweetened cornflakes to reduce added sugar.
- Swap cereals if you like—multigrain Cheerios or Cinnamon Toast Crunch both work for different flavors.
- Dissolve the milk powder in water first to avoid grainy pockets in the granola.
- Bake at 300°F for about 25–30 minutes, checking at 25 minutes. If it’s still too moist, bake in 5-minute increments until golden.
- If the bottom browns too fast but the mix isn’t dry, move the sheet higher and reduce the oven to 250°F.
