Vegan Vanilla Mint Cashew Milk
This chilled vanilla mint cashew milk is my go-to afternoon pick-me-up. It’s perfect for the moment when you’re a little hungry but don’t want a full meal — just something light that still delivers nutrients.

This summer we traveled a lot, and travel often changes routines: less water, different food choices, and the need to keep energy up between early mornings and planned meals. To bridge that gap I pack simple snacks — cashews, homemade bars or granola, chia, and chocolate — plus a few powder supplements that travel easily.

On this trip I brought Blue Majik, a vibrant spirulina powder, and occasionally added it to my cashew milk for a quick nutrient boost before coffee and breakfast. I tend to wake up early and sometimes need a small pre-breakfast snack while traveling, and this milk became a simple solution.

Spirulina, Maca, and Turmeric
These superfood powders add flavor, color, and nutrition. I didn’t have maca or turmeric while on vacation, but a friend gifted me culinary-grade mint essential oil, which inspired the vanilla mint version. The travel-friendly recipe I used skipped dates and relied on a touch of mint oil for flavor.

Blue Majik (a spirulina extract) delivers protein, vitamins, and amino acids, and provides the signature pale blue color. Maca, used for its potential energy and mood benefits, adds a mild, nutty sweetness. Turmeric brings anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties — and a warming, earthy note — though when combined with Blue Majik the result is a cool blue-green beverage rather than a golden milk.

Superfood Ingredients
Spirulina is a nutrient-rich algae I’ve used for years; Blue Majik is a convenient form that mixes well into beverages. Maca powder supports energy and offers fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Turmeric contributes anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits and supports digestion.
