90-Second Nut-Free Keto Bread with Sesame Seeds

This recipe shows how to make Nut-Free Keto Bread in 90 seconds using sesame seed flour. Many nut-free recipes still include coconut, which can trigger allergies for people sensitive to tree fruits; to avoid that I use sesame seeds instead. The result is a versatile, simple bread that works like almond flour but remains seed-based — perfect if you need a truly nut-free option.

Although coconut is often labeled as “nut-free,” it is technically a drupe (a fruit with a hard shell), not a true nut. That distinction can be confusing, and many people with nut allergies also react to coconut. To keep this recipe safe for more people with nut-related sensitivities, sesame seed flour replaces almond or coconut-based flours.

Sesame seed flour behaves similarly to almond flour in many keto recipes, offering good texture and a mild, toasty flavor. You can grind whole sesame seeds in a coffee grinder or use a commercially prepared sesame flour for convenience.

Dairy-Free Option

If you want this bread dairy free, swap the butter for 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sesame oil can be used, but in small amounts it may be strong; olive oil gives a milder, more neutral result.

Cooking Without a Microwave

If you don’t use a microwave, bake the mixture in a heatproof mug or small ramekin in the oven for about 15 minutes. A slower oven bake reduces the eggy taste and creates a more bread-like texture.

This bread is excellent for breakfasts—try it with poached eggs and hollandaise or toasted and topped with butter. It soaks up runny yolks nicely and holds together well for sandwiches or open-faced toasts.

Which Sesame Seed Flour to Use

If you can buy pre-made sesame seed flour it’s convenient, but you can also make your own by grinding sesame seeds in a coffee grinder until they reach a fine, flour-like texture. Either method works well in this recipe.

I hope this recipe helps those avoiding nuts and coconut enjoy a quick, low-carb bread option.
